SCIENTISTS in Vietnam have developed a carbon dioxidebased method of extracting essential oils from the eaglewood tree, which can be used in medicines and cosmetics.The oil can be sold at a price of $10,000 to $14,000 a litre.Vietnam has around 8,000 hectares of eaglewood trees and the area is expected to expand by about 4,000 hectares a year.
