Cargill expands plant

CARGILL Oil Seeds, a division of Cargill, has started construction of a new $120m soyabean processing plant to replace an existing processing facility in Kansas City, Missouri.The new facility is being designed to increase soyabean processing capacity to 165,000 bushels from 95,000 bushels a day and should be operational by spring 2008. In addition, Cargill together with Paseo Biofuels began construction of a $40m biodiesel plant, which should be operational by the end of 2007.
