Rising demand for kvasThis article was originally published in Foodnews
BALTIKA, one of Russia's largest breweries, is increasing sales of its flagship Hlebny Krai kvas brand. During the first nine months of this year, the company's soft drinks sales increased by 60%, mainly due to high demand for Hlebny Krai, which it produces at its sites in St Petersburg and Tula. Since the beginning of the year, the company has sold more than 3.9 million litres of the drink and has plans to expand its share further in this segment. Hlebny Krai currently holds nearly 6% of the Russian kvas market, and is even being exported to the US and Latin America.
