New Zealand could produce highest ever volume of milk

New Zealand will set records in both milk production and powdered milk exports, according to the USDA. The country, the world's biggest dairy exporter, will raise its production of liquid milk by 400 000 tonnes to 17.0 million tonnes in 2009/10. That will enable a rise in production of whole milk powder (WMP), of which 810 000 tonnes will be exported next year, a 22% rise.
