COCA-Cola HBC Eurasia and Slavda Group, a Russian soft drinks company, have formed the Far Eastern Association of Mineral Water and Soft Drinks Manufactur-ers. The new organisation aims to represent the common interests of the industry in dealings with governments, and to uphold good standards generally. The new association will primarily protect the market from low quality products. According to Slavda's chief executive, Pavel Serebryakov, there are more than 30 large soft drinks producers operating in the Far East soft drinks market, and the quality of products supplied by some of them leaves much to be desired.
