RENOSA Group, a bottler of Coca-Cola and Kaiser in Brazil's Mato Grosso state, has commissioned a new BRL60 million (US$35 million) bottling line in Várzea Grande. The new line will be used to produce Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Zero, Sprite and Fanta. "We invested while the Brazilian economy was going through a delicate moment but we are already seeing returns," said Leonardo Mello, Renosa's vice-president. The new line will increase output by 25% and Renosa expects to reduce water consumption by 50% and energy consumption by 40% per case in the next 10 years.
