Slump lifts frozen sales

BRITAIN'S Food and Drink Federation has found that one in 10 Britons are buying more frozen food due to the recession. Research revealed that 9% of respondents are purchasing more frozen food than they were six months ago and 10% are eating more food from the freezer as consumers look to make their money go further. The industry body's Frozen Food Group also found that 81% of respondents, who buy frozen food, do so because of the taste and flavour and 78% say it is because of its good quality.
