JAMBA has signed a licensing agreement with The Inventure Group to develop a line of a blend-and-serve, frozen fruit smoothie kits for the retail grocery sector. This follows the abandonment of a project with Nestlé to produce Jamba beverages for retail (FOODNEWS 26 December 2008). The kits are expected to be launched in the US during the first quarter of 2010 and will include frozen fruits, from Washington-based Rader Farms, an Inventure Group company. Jamba claims they will be the first smoothie kits in the marketplace to include vitamin and mineral boosts.
