AUSTRIAN fruit juice concentrate and drinks manufacturer Ybbstaler, has bought the Polish processor, Lukta, for an undisclosed sum. Ybbstaler, which already has two facilities in Poland, says it intends to increase the production capacity at Lukta's plant in Biala Rawska. Both companies major in AJC production. Ybbstaler, a subsidiary of agro-industrial group BayWa, has an annual production of about 35 000 tonnes and sales last year of around €175 million. This year, according to company management, sales are likely to fall to €125 million due to price pressure and low raw material and concentrate prices.
