A CHINESE delegation has been visiting Venezuela to oversee and develop joint ventures in fish farming and marine fisheries matters, committed to previously by the presidents of the two countries. Under the accord, the government will initiate a plan to encourage shrimp production and consumption, intended to generate new jobs, according to the president of the Socialist Institute of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Gilberto Gimenez. A shrimp farm is being evaluated in Anzoategui state, he revealed. This 20ha farm would benefit from Chinese involvement.
