PENGUEN Gida, a Turkish frozen and preserved food company, is reported by Hurriyet to have won a substantial order worth €15.2 million from an un-named European supermarket chain. Penguen was one of the companies whose shares were named by Hurriyet as having been targeted by participants in a stock market share dealing fraud (FOODNEWS 10 April) although there is no suggestion that Penguen executives (nor those of the other companies named, including tomato processor, Merko) participated in or were even aware of the alleged share dealings.
