RUSSIAN food giant Wimm-BillDann Foods (WBD) has posted growth across all of its business segments for the first half of 2008. Sales for the group rose 30% to US$1.49 billion - of which US$1.11 billion came from its dairy unit (+29%), US$259.0 million from beverages (+22%) and US$127.7 million from baby food (+65%). Net income for the six months saw a rise of 19% to US$78.6 million. "Despite the worldwide increase in food prices, our business remains very solid, " said WBD's chief executive Tony Maher.
