GERMAN fruit processor, Wild, is introducing a range of bake-stable fruit fillings in Europe, intended for fruit-filled snack bars. Wild first launched its ready-to-use fruit fillings in Australia and New Zealand six years ago. The fillings are available in classic flavours like apple and strawberry, but also in more exotic fruit varieties like passion fruit and blends. In keeping with Wild's natural ingredients focus, the products do not require preservatives but rely on their high brix levels (typically 70-80 brix) and low pH values to give a shelf life of between six to nine months.
