BRAZIL's dairy product exports will hit record levels this year, according to industry sources. Milk powder exports should be worth US$750 million. In the first half of 2008, exports stood at US$227 million, whereas last year's exports totalled US$263 million for the full year. Milk powder and condensed milk account for 75% of exports. Imports of products in the sector should total approximately US$200 million this year, resulting in a US$550 million surplus for Brazil.
