UK milk bonus price

This article was originally published in Foodnews

ARLA Foods UK is encouraging Arla Foods Milk Partnership (AFMP) members to increase milk production during the autumn trough by offering an additional UK£0.05 on every litre of milk supplied over and above each member's base average daily production figure. The incentive will run from September to November, when milk supply is typically lower than usual, leading to processors, including Arla, to purchase milk from the spot market. "We would prefer AFMP members to receive this benefit rather than it being paid to suppliers in the spot market and we have agreed with the Partnership that members will be offered a financial incentive, " said Hanne Sondergaard, Arla UK's deputy chief executive.
