FIRST Juice organic fruit and vegetable juices are claimed by the US manufacturer to be the first products for toddlers that are significantly lower in sugar and calories than traditional juice offerings. First Juice has been designed for children aged 630 months, with 50% less sugar than the leading 100% fruit juices. Each 8oz serving contains only 12g of natural sugars from organic fruits and vegetables, compared with 27g in an 8oz serving of 100% apple juice. A blend of organic fruit and vegetable juice concentrates and purified water, the beverages come in a spillproof sippy-top container and is fortified with calcium and vitamins A, C and D. Two flavours are initially being offered: apple/carrot and banana/carrot in 32oz bottles as well as 8oz single-serve packs, priced at around US$1.99-2.49 and US$3.494.49 respectively.
