No more milk hormones

This article was originally published in Foodnews

WAL-Mart Stores Inc has announced that it will no longer source milk from cows treated with artificial growth hormones, such as the controversial recombinant bovine somatotropin (rBST). The retail giant's private label Great Value milk, as well as its Sam's Club chain, will now only use suppliers pledged not to treat cows with growth hormones. Although the USA's Food and Drug Administration has said that cows treated with rBST pose no threat to humans, Wal-Mart said that this change was in response to customer demand.
