Free macadamia trees

LOCAL farmers in the disadvantaged area of Elim in Makhado, South Africa have been given a very welcome lifeline in the form of macadamia seedlings. A local macadamia business, Mununzwu Newco, donated around 5 000 grafted trees to the farmers who will now be able to use them to expand their farms and contribute to the economy, said a provincial minister for agriculture in Limpopo, Dikeledi Magadzi. The farmers are members of the Vhembe Macadamia Farmers' Co-operative, which received the trees on their behalf.
