Suspect smell was lemon

This article was originally published in Foodnews

FOODNEWS apologises for the news item on Citromax which appeared in FOODNEWS of 7 March and on our daily online news service. "Citromax does not have or use hydrochloric acid. The reports of a hydrochloric acid spill are false," the company told FOODNEWS. "The odour experienced this past Sunday occurred at our effluent treatment plant. The odour was caused by residual lemon effluents in underground pipes, which surfaced during scheduled pre-season maintenance.
