THE Cashew Development Corporation (KSCDC), owned by the Indian state of Kerala, is launching its branded value-added cashew products. The corporation has developed four products with the technical support of the Central Food Technology Research Institute (CFTRI) of Mysore, and they will be marketed as 'CDC cashews'. Products will include powder, soups, bits, and kernels, in pack sizes from 10g to 2kg. At present, there are no branded cashew products in India's domestic market.
