CHILEAN dairy Surlat is to open up new overseas markets and introduce a new round of products in the course of this year, the company's president, Eugen Roth, has said in an interview with a Chilean business paper. New health-enhancing products will include Bio, with lactobacillus GG and Benekol which reduces chloresterol. This line will be marketed under the Kaiku brand. As well as this, the company is also looking to enter new markets. Mexico, long a goal for Chilean exporters, is now swamped by various players and has seen prices fall and as a result the company is trying to find new sales territories in Europe.
