TWO leading Lithuanian dairy companies have reported sales rises of 21% and 35%. Zemaitijos Pienas, whose sales have climbed 21% to LTL324.5 million (US$688 million) in the past nine months, attributed a rise in profits to LTL18.7 million on favourable exports of skimmed milk powder (SMP) and cream. Rokiskio Suris (Rokiskis Cheese) Group reported LTL571.2 million consolidated sales for the first 10 months of this year, a rise of 35% on a year earlier. Rokiskio Suris earlier reported a trebled consolidated unaudited net profit between January-September.
