A MALTESE brewery is completing an investment in a new soft drinks bottling line. Simonds Farsons Cisk plc has invested MTL10.5 million (US$35.9 million) on a packaging centre and logistics centre at its brewery in Mriehel. The new soft drinks line is capable of producing carbonated soft drinks, beer and beer mixers and both still and carbonated water. It can handle 500ml bottles at speeds of 18 000 bottles per hour. The new logistics centre will replace the company's five depots located around Malta.
