New aronia extract

This article was originally published in Foodnews

KADEN Biochemicals has introduced a powdered extract made from aronia berries. It claims that aronia berries are rich in antioxidants and have higher concentrations of this phytochemical than any other red or blue berry. The aronia plant, which is native to eastern North America, is commonly known as black chokeberry. It produces violetblack berries, and has been used before in pomegranate juice drinks, to balance the flavour (FOODNEWS 18 March 2005).
