Dairy tariffs slashed

VIETNAM'S Ministry of Finance has cut the country's import tariffs on most dairy products. Under the new cut - the second since August - noncondensed milk and cream will have a 5% tax rate instead of 10%, condensed milk and cream will be 3% rather than 5-15%, and buttermilk and yogurt will be down to 7% from 10-15%. Prices for the consumer are unlikely to reduce, however, due to soaring raw material prices.
