CZECH mineral water producer Karlovarske Mineralni Vody (KMV) has bought a 25.1% stake in Austrian beverages producer Waldquelle Kobersdorf. Waldquelle, owned by the Burgenland-based branch of Raiffeisen Landesbank, produces its own mineral waters, plus a range of flavoured waters and water/juice blends. KMV produces 885 million litres of mineral water annually, one and a half times more than the entire mineral water production in Austria, and its turnover last year was more than e184 million. It has 80% of the Czech market.
