ACCORDING to a report by the Organisation for the Promotion of Responsible Tuna Fisheries, Korea is the world's third-largest consumer of tuna. Data based on 2004 figures showed that Korea consumed 15 000-20 000 tonnes of tuna, ahead of Taiwan (5 000-8 000 tonnes) and the EU (4 000-8 000 tonnes).
