Optimistic forecast for Ukraine's fruit crops

UKRAINE expects an increase in its plum and sweet cherry harvests of 20-25% this year, according to FOODNEWS sources. Producers plan to harvest around 155 000 tonnes of plums and 61 000 tonnes of sweet cherry in Ukraine. Pear production is put at 123 000 tonnes and sour cherries at 142 000 tonnes. Raspberry production is estimated at 27 000 tonnes.
