Higher prices prompt PBG sales fall

THE largest PepsiCo Bottler, Pepsi Botting Group (PGB) has reported, for the second quarter of 2008, a 3% fall in sale volumes in Mexico. Despite that, net returns grew by 8% to US$394 million, due to higher product prices. The company pointed out that the favourable exchange rate and measures taken to develop productivity helped to make up for the higher raw material costs.
