Brazil soya forecast raised

BRAZIL is likely to produce a record 82.2m tonnes of soyabeans this season, local consultancy AgRural said this week, raising its forecast from a month earlier after rain fell on the main growing areas. Soya planting is now 98% complete in Brazil, which is likely to overtake the US as the world’s top producer of the oilseed this season, AgRural said. In November, the firm predicted the crop would be 81.9m tonnes.
