Cocoa production to rise in Indonesia

INDONESIA’S cocoa output is seen rising 19% to around 500,000 tonnes next year, from 420,000 tonnes this year, its cocoa association said on Thursday. Production will still be down from 2010 levels because of crop disease. The association said last month that the country’s cocoa exports might slump almost 40% to 200,000 tonnes this year as a fungal disease wrecks crops.
