BLACK Earth Farming saw net profit slump to $0.5m from $1.5m in the second quarter due to a 31% fall in sales volumes to 42,700 tonnes and a revaluation of the crops to be harvested in the second half. Sales value rose 25% to $8.1m. The firm warned that limited rainfall has resulted in disappointing initial yields.
