Ghana revises cocoa purchasing aim

GHANA has revised its 2010/11 cocoa season purchases target to 920,000 tonnes, up from 850,000 tonnes, two officials at industry regulator Cocobod said on Monday. Cocobod data showed official purchases for the season which began in October hit 822,732 tonnes by April 28, some 54% above last year's levels. The purchases cover 30 weeks of the 33-week main crop.
