Indian coffee output growing

INDIA'S coffee exports jumped to 210,826 tonnes during October 2010 to May 2011, from 143,345 tonnes in the same period the previous year, data from the Coffee Board showed on Tuesday. In value terms, the exports surged to $601.17m as against $306.64m a year earlier, the board said. India, the world's fifth biggest coffee producer, accounts for only 4.5% of the world's coffee output, but exports 70 to 80% of this.
