India prepares cheap rice for neighbour

INDIA is preparing 300,000 tonnes of cut-price rice for export to Bangladesh, according to Indian external affairs minister SM Krishna. He informed his Bangladeshi counterpart Dipu Moni that the rice would soon be ready for export at a price under that on the world market. He added that New Delhi was also ready to export 12,000 tonnes of sugar to Bangladesh.
