JAPAN'S Tokyo Grain Exchange (TGE) has approved a plan to transfer agricultural futures trading to Tokyo Commodity Exchange, said Yoshiaki Watanabe, president of TGE, adding that the exchange will ask for the transfer to take place promptly. The Tokyo exchange trades maize, soyabeans, coffee, raw sugar and "azuki" beans. In the 11 months to the end of November, trading volumes at the bourse plunged 43% from a year earlier to 2.62m lots.
