Soya output suffering

SOYA output in Paraguay, the world's fourth biggest supplier, is likely to suffer this season due to forecasts for a 40% decline in rains caused by the La Nina weather phenomenon, the government said on Monday. The South American country produced a record soya crop of 7.4m tonnes in 2009/10, although its fast-growing output is still small compared with that of Brazil and Argentina, the number two and number three exporters respectively.
