CARROT juice from Jamaica was what the cans contained, according to the labels, but they actually held liquid cocaine. Customs officials at the UK’s Gatwick airport seized 80kg of the drug worth about GBP8.0 million (USD12.8 million); one of the biggest ever seizures of liquid cocaine. Five people have been arrested, and William Hayles, 50, and Randall St Patrick Lewis, 52, have been charged with conspiracy to import controlled drugs and are due to appear in court in April.
