JEREISSATI Group, Renosa and Guararapes, three bottlers that form part of the Coca-Cola Brazil system, have signed a merger agreement, Vladimir Pekic writes. The transaction will be concluded in 2013, depending on approval from Brazil’s competition authority CADE. The joint production capacity of the troika amounts to 2.3 billion litres and their combined revenue is around BRL6 billion (USD2.94 billion). The new company will be responsible for Coca-Cola sales in north-east Brazil, Mato Grosso state and part of the states of Tocantins and Goiás.
