CHRISTIAN Lohbauer, president of the Brazilian Association of Citrus Exporters (CitrusBR), is expected to leave the organisation next month, according to recent reports. Vladimir Pekic writes : Lohbauer is expected to move jobs to lead a recently created directorate of corporate affairs at Bayer in Brazil, the country’s Agencia Estado news agency reported. CitrusBR is expected to officially acknowledge Lohbauer’s decision this week and prepare for the selection of a new president. Lohbauer has headed CitrusBR since June 2009 when the association was established by orange juice majors Cutrale, Citrosuco and Louis Dreyfus. CitrusBR has not yet responded to a FOODNEWS request on 3 January for confirmation of Lohbauer’s departure.
