THE Philippine Bureau for Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) is demanding that agencies collaborate better in order to ensure guarantee adherence to the three-month sardine and mackerel fishing ban, which starts on 15 November, Philippine Information Agency reports. The BFAR plans to launch six patrol vessels in the Visayan Sea, according to director, Asis Perez. This comes after studies revealed that authorities needed to tighten their efforts.
