CAMPBELL Soup Company has appointed its first-ever chief marketing officer, Bloomberg reports. Michael Senackerib has headed Kraft’s biscuit division and Nabisco’s salted snack operations and will now be heading up marketing for the company, which is grappling with sluggish canned soup consumption. Senackerib joins in time to capitalise on Campbell’s new ranges of soups. These are envisaged as meals, and aim to escape the image of a cheap cooking product consumed largely by older people (FOODNEWS passim) .
