JUICE and sauces firm Baggio has announced it will invest ARS48 million (USD10 million) in the construction of a tomato paste production plan in Mendoza, Argentina. Heads of the company said they had already purchased the necessary processing equipment for ARS24 million, and that the new facility would create close to 100 new jobs. The plant will process and package tomato paste for both domestic and industrial use, producing 1 000 tonnes per day. Tomatoes will be grown across 1 400 hectares.
