EXPORTS of Pakistani citrus fruit have increased by 70% this year, according to the Minister for Commerce, Makhdoom Amin Fahim. The Business Recorder reported that citrus exports have risen to USD162.6 million from USD95.8 million between July 2011 and March 2012. Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to gain concessions with the EU, the country’s biggest business partner, will mean that Pakistan will qualify for duty free access to the EU from 1 January, 2014.
