THE US has been put on more of an equal footing with other major suppliers of wine in South Korea, with the removal of the 15% import tax on wine in March 2012 by the Korea-US Free Trade Agreement (KORUS FTA). This makes its position in the entry level segment of the market more competitive, the latest report from the USDA has revealed.
