IMPERIAL Sugar has seen its losses widen. The company, which earlier this month agreed to be acquired by Louis Dreyfus for approximately USD203 million, recorded a loss of just shy of USD10.0 million for the six months ended 31 March, compared with a loss of USD4.8 million in the year-ago period. However, net sales rose to USD431 million, compared with USD420 million in the previous year. In April, the company sold its 50% voting interest in Wholesome Sweeteners Inc for USD60.4 million.
