RAISIN growing in Fresno, California, is becoming less popular as farmers pull out vineyards in favour of higher value crops, FOODNEWS has been told. While grapes remain the county’s top crop, valued at USD820 million in 2010, the number of acres devoted to raisins has been declining since 2000.
