AN explosion in an Australian dairy has caused about AUD300 000 (USD323 000) worth of damage. The blast happened in the powdered milk section of the plant at the Longwarry Food Park near Melbourne. Nobody was hurt. The managing director of the Longwarry Food Park, Rakesh Aggarwal, said that dust and powder explosions are an occupational hazard in milk processing plants.
