AGRANA is to expand its fruit preparations production capacity in Russia to 62 000 tonnes annually from its present 38 000 tonnes. The move means investment of EUR27 million (USD35 million) at its factory in Serpuchow, 100km south of Moscow. This plant was built in 2004 and acquired by Agrana in 2005. Agrana supplies all Russian dairy products manufacturers with fruit preparations, and holds a 48% share of this market, with sales in the country of EUR55 million in 2011.
