BISCUIT firm, Britannia Industries, has decided to merge its dairy and biscuit sales teams. “We realised that requirements of trade are evolving,” Britannia Industries managing director, Vinita Bali, said in an interview with the Economic Times. The company believes that this move will help them to gain from synergies in distribution and replenishment as well as expand the reach of its dairy products. Britannia’s dairy division, which accounts for nearly 5% of its total sales, has doubled sales in four years. Britannia manufactures biscuits and dairy products such as UHT milk, curd, fortified milk brands such as Actimind and Tiger Zor.
